Meeting recap: Inspiration

What do you do when it’s your turn to choose a topic for the meeting and no idea comes to your mind? πŸ€” You take the lack of inspiration and turn it into the theme itself! πŸ’‘ That is what Gaby did last Wednesday as our Toastmaster of the evening, who also conducted the meeting live from the Nachbarschaftshaus Gostenhof. Throughout her moderation she shared multiple ways in which we can call the muses and get inspired.

The questions from our Table topics master Margaret tied right into the topic. ❓ Asking us from our daily routines to people we admire and inspire us, her insights on the participants answers made it an enjoyable section of the meeting. πŸ‘

On the prepared speeches, Yasin delivered his ice breaker speech, where he spoke about the importance of using critical thinking when reading statistics in our daily lives. ❗ Congrats Yasin! πŸŽ‰ For the 2nd speech, our guest speaker Irina dialed in from Moscow to share with us her story of the first time she traveled to London, which turned out to be a trip of a lifetime. ✈ She even left us on a cliffhanger!

The evaluation team was led by Axel as General Evaluator ✍ , supported by Steve and Barbara as speech evaluators πŸ“, Jan as Ah counter, Margaret doubling roles as Grammarian πŸ™Œ, and Micha as Timer ⏱

Do you want to develop your communication skills? Join us for our next meeting on May 22nd!
